Michigan got big surprises by landing defensive back Dorsey from Florida
Michigan pulled one of the big surprises on signing day with the addition of defensive back Demar Dorsey. A previous commitment to Florida, the Boyd Anderson (Lauderdale Lakes, Fla.) product was expected to pick either Florida State or Southern California.
However, his visit to Ann Arbor convinced the four-star defender to play for Wolverines coach Rich Rodriguez. He was hosted by his cousin Denard Robinson, who played quarterback as a freshman last year.
“I just loved the city up there, I liked the atmosphere up there and I feel that I could make it my home,” Dorsey told Rivals.com. “I got in with a couple players real good and my cousin was up there. That’s what led to me picking that school.”
